Many people who would not ordinarily stay awake late at night willingly sacrifice their sleep to watch their favorite teams play. At this point, an important spiritual question emerges. From the Islamic perspective, the primary purpose of human existence is to worship Allah and to live in a manner that earns His pleasure. The Qur'an declares that both humankind and jinn were created solely to worship Allah. Islam also places great emphasis on voluntary night prayer (Tahajjud), the remembrance of Allah, and spiritual purification. Yet, in reality, many people devote far greater enthusiasm, time, and commitment to worldly forms of entertainment than they do to the worship of their Creator.

Human beings often become deeply occupied with the temporary pleasures, sports, and amusements of this worldly life. Nevertheless, everyone knows that this world is temporary and will one day come to an end. Every individual will ultimately stand before the Creator to account for his or her deeds. According to Islamic belief, those who obey Allah, worship Him sincerely, and perform righteous deeds will attain Paradise. Conversely, those who neglect their Creator and give worldly pursuits precedence over their spiritual responsibilities are warned of severe consequences in the Hereafter.

Therefore, football enthusiasm should not be viewed merely as emotional excitement surrounding a sport. Rather, it provides a profound opportunity to reflect on human psychology, aspirations, and the hierarchy of personal values. If people were to devote the same degree of sincerity, time, passion, and commitment to the worship of their Creator, moral development, and spiritual refinement, both individuals and society as a whole would witness far greater positive transformation.
