A Tale of Two Destinies

In work and deeds, a stark mismatch lies—
Once, we dreamed beneath the same skies.
But Jamil, consumed by greed's cruel flame,
Has wandered far from honor and name.

Now he drowns in silent regret,
Moments of joy, he cannot get.
A hollow life, an empty shell,
A soul imprisoned in his own hell.

My family stands, a steadfast tide,
While Jamil shows only when troubles bide.
Alone he roams, in shadows lost,
Entangled in sins, at a grievous cost.

Day and night, my heart does ache—
Why must his soul this burden take?
Chasing black money, he sealed his fate,
Far from truth, he tempts cruel hate.

He longs to leave this tainted track,
But fear grips tight—there’s no way back.
Haunted by loss, he stands in fright,
Afraid to step into the light.

Once, we joined a funeral's grace,
Side by side, in death’s embrace.
My end brought tears and solemn cries,
While his brought relief, not goodbyes.
